Welcome to DrKoach Healthy Eating plus Active Lifestyle (H.E.A.L.™) is a physician-approved program that empowers participants to develop lifelong, healthy eating habits as well as active lifestyle behavior changes.
During this 30-day program, participants focus on developing a greater measure of intelligent self-care, gaining a clearer understanding of the nature and origin of heart disease, its risk factors and the relationship of those risk factors with hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis and more.
With this knowledge, participants can then focus on the adoption of better health habits and lifestyle choices. The end goal is to facilitate possible disease reversal by lowering blood cholesterol and blood sugar levels, reducing excess weight, lowering high blood pressure, enhancing daily exercise, and eliminating smoking.
Our physician-approved program is conducted by a team of health professionals trained, licensed and certified in the health, nutrition and wellness field.
How It Works
H.E.A.L.™ consists of 2-3 weekly group education and exercise sessions over a 30-day period, as well as individual consultations before and after program and a 6 month follow-up with a health coach. Each week, participants undertake 60 minutes of supervised group-based low-to-moderate intensity physical exercise followed by a 60 minute group base healthy lifestyle education class.
Before the program begins, a comprehensive health screen is conducted to establish risk factor levels of participants. All participants are encouraged to share their results with their personal physicians regarding their need for medication as they modify their lifestyle.
Once the program is complete, a final health screen is conducted and a detailed report is prepared for each participant comparing their risk factor levels before and after going through the program. Participants often have impressive, measurable improvements within the first week.
